Around Phuket
The Island
Lying on the fringe of the Andaman Sea off the west coast of Southern Thailand, the island of Phuket has magical tropical beaches, crystal clear turquoise water, and idyllic offshore islands. It enjoys all year round temperatures of between 26 and 36 degrees. The rainy seasons (Green Season), runs from May until the end of October, with the last 2 months having the most rainfall. However, even in the rainy season there are still long periods of sunshine each day. The Green season is a nice time to visit Phuket as most of the crowds have gone and the weather can still be glorious.

Golfing
Phuket has many first class courses with standard of facilities undreamed of elsewhere. Caddies are provided at all courses, and green fees are surprisingly low. There are four golf courses within 10 to 20 minutes of your Phuket Holiday Villa Sanyanga.

Sailing

Diving and Snorkelling
The Andaman Sea has some of the best dive sites in the world, including the beautiful Similan Islands, with stunning coral reefs and marine life. You can visit these islands on the Phuket Charter Catamaran Shangani, which has 20 sets of snorkeling gear, and four sets of quality diving equipment and a compressor. Shangani’s captain is a Divemaster. You can enjoy an afternoon of snorkeling and kayaking on the yacht Shangani.

Elephant or Horse Riding
It‘s great fun to visit the elephants and go on a trek up in the mountains near Rawai, or feed the elephants as well as ride, in the Laguna area, a few minutes drive from the villa. Or you can go for a gallop or peaceful walk on horseback along Bang Tao beach near the villa. This is an unforgettable experience early in the morning or at sunset.

Phuket Town
The town is interesting to walk around, and is only about 25 minutes drive from the villa. and there is very good shopping. You can buy almost anything at the huge and fascinating weekend market, at amazingly cheap prices.

Patong
Patong is a well know tourist resort, famous for it’s beach with every type of water sports, but possibly more famous for it’s outrageous night-life.

Bang Tao Beach
This is an 8 kilometre long sweeping crescent shaped beach with crystal clear turquoise water, a gentle slope and absolutely pure white sand, and is fringed with rows of casuarinas trees. The northern end is totally undeveloped and quite wild and beautiful. There are some lovely thatched beach restaurants serving delicious local Thai food. It is hard to beat eating tasty exotic dishes with your feet in the sand, while watching a glorious sunset, after a dip in the sea, around 27 degrees all year round. This is the long and beautiful beach that you can see from the pool terrace of your Phuket villa rental 'Villa Sanyanga'.

Surin Beach
This is only a few minutes walk from the villa, but because the hill is steep, it is better to use the free shuttle bus from the villa. It has many facilities such as sunbeds, wonderful thai massage, manicure etc. The beach front has many food stalls serving up wonderful local food at very low prices.
